Mission

The Missions of the Department is Teaching and training for inspired young minds to engage in the study of contemporary social realities, Promote research in all aspects of rural and tribal life, Documentation of the social institutions, customs, traditions and traditional knowledge of the tribes and process IPR related matters, Safeguarding the social and cultural practices of indigenous population and ensure their enrichment by establishing Indigenous Heritage & Resource Centre, Organize Seminars on themes of Regional and National relevance and Publication of research activities and study reports of the department.
