Department of Journalism and Media Studies

The Department of Journalism and Media Studies is one of the dynamic departments under Kannur University. The department is offering two year M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication programme. Journalism and Mass Communication widens the horizon of unique jobs. Mass Communication animates the whole world with abundance of information, entertainment and act as the catalyst of development. The syllabus of the programme covers all the spheres of Journalism and Mass Communication. Comprehensive training is ensured under the supervision of qualified faculties. The Department is equipped with smart class rooms and lab facilities. The maximum intake is limited to 25 students based on entrance test. The Department also offers a Ph.D programme in Mass Communication and Journalism. The majority of students who have passed out of this department are working with reputed media organizations in the country and abroad.
